Joining with Chuck Riley, he started as a service technician. That endeavor evolved into Riley Diversified Services Inc. with Rick being the Vice President of that corporation. RDS became not only a general service and repair company, but also designed, built and equipped orthodontic, oral surgery and plastic surgery offices. RDS had a cabinet department that not only furnished complete office cabinetry, but designed and built custom orthodontic side units. At that time RDS independently represented Dexta chairs. Dexta Corporation offered both Rick and Chuck positions and RDS was closed. Chuck went to work in sales, and Rick went to work to develop Dexta's product support department. This position for Rick eventually evolved into sales, at which he worked for some 5 years. In 1992, Rick took a position with Boyd Industries as an Independent Sales Representative. The ensuing 11 years Rick's territory has grown by almost 150%.
