Chief Executive Officer
Since joining Boyd Industries in 2012, Adrian has strengthened the company's position as a dental equipment market leader. Under his leadership, Boyd has expanded its product lines, dental specialty markets and global reach. Additionally, the company has transformed its business systems and obtained ISO13485:2016 international quality certification.
A career manufacturing leader, he served as the Vice President/General Manager of Acciona Windpower North American responsible for the successful greenfield launch of Acciona's wind turbine manufacturing, installation and service business. Under his leadership, the company grew to over $600M in revenues in the first 3 years of operation. Earlier in his career, Adrian held senior operations positions with Knowles Electronics, Gulfstream Aerospace and USRobotics.
Adrian earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from The Citadel. He serves as an Executive Partner for Salt Creek Capital and sits on the advisory boards of The University of Iowa's College of Engineering and The Citadel's College of Math and Science. He is a member of the board of directors for the Florida Medical Manufacturers Consortium and Pinellas County CareerSource. He is a US Air Force veteran having served as a Communications-Electronics Officer with assignments in the United States and Asia.
Vice President, Sales
Kurt is responsible for all of the company's sales activities focusing on top line growth of the business by leading our domestic and international sales team, identifying new market opportunities and managing all sales reporting and analytics.
Kurt is an accomplished sales executive with over 25 years of sales management experience in the dental, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries. Earlier in his career, Kurt held senior sales management roles at both Henry Schein Dental and Hu-Friedy where he successfully managed inside and field-based sales teams, customer service departments and CRM database management. Employing solutions-based selling techniques, his teams consistently exceeded sales budgets for the products they represented. He is the recipient of many sales awards for his and his team's accomplishments. At Akorn Pharmaceuticals, he led a sales organization of over 80 sales and customer service professionals in exceeding sales performance goals including volume, revenue and profit margins. In addition, he led the successful product launch of the company's Akten ophthalmic gel. Most recently, Kurt was the senior sales consultant for USCellular helping the company develop new sales strategies in the highly competitive cellular phone market. He was responsible for a sales organization of over 150 team members and managers in channel management.
Kurt received his MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Industries from the University of Illinois. He started his career working in smaller Midwest industrial companies and is very comfortable on a factory floor. He is a native of the Midwest having grown up in Chicago where he still resides.
Michael serves as Boyd's lead financial officer for all accounting activities and financial reporting to include treasury management, tax reporting, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, accounts payable/receivables, payroll, banking transactions and budgeting. As a senior member of our leadership team, he will lead efforts to assure Boyd complies with acceptable accounting practices, conduct margin analysis using cost accounting methods and take proactive steps to manage Boyd's cash and assets.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant. You can find him at USF Bulls football games during the season! Originally from Connecticut, he met his wife while bartending at Fleming's Steakhouse during college.
Director, Mfg Operations
Tim serves as Boyd's senior leader for all product production, supply chain, engineering, facilities and industrial safety activities. Tim is an accomplished manufacturing and operations professional having held Plant Manager and Director of Operations positions.
As Plant Manager for Pegasus Steel, his facility successfully passed their ISO9001, Nuclear components and Department of the Navy fabrication certifications. As Director of Operations at SMCI MetalTek, he served as the General Manager managing the fabrication and fulfillment activities for a $30 million division. Prior in his career, he was commissioned into the US Army serving as an Infantry Company Commander with combat tours in Europe and the Middle East.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Masters of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain Management from Clemson University. He is a regular volunteer in support of military veterans organizations and lives in Lithia, FL with his wife and twin children.
Quality and Regulatory Manager
Marcus joined Boyd in 2014 to serve as the focal point for the development, implementation and maintenance of Boyd's Quality Management System in compliance with FDA and ISO standards. As a key member of the Boyd team, he leads our Quality Assurance department and the implementation of ISO 13485.
Marcus has over 20 years' experience as a Quality Assurance professional in the healthcare industry. Most recently, he worked at Dentsply's Raintree Essix division managing their internal audit program, CAPA system and supplier quality surveillance for both the Sarasota, FL and Racine, WI facilities. Prior to Dentsply, Marcus held management and senior QA positions at medical device companies - Baxter, Life Sciences, ConMed Linvatec, Genzyme Biosurgery and Becton-Dickinson. Over his career, he has led the implementation of ISO 13485, served as the company interface on FDA/customer audits and drove the continuous improvement of products and processes.
Marcus received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Systems Technology from NC A&T University and Masters of Science Degree in Quality Assurance from Southern Polytechnic State University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Enterprise Solutions engineer and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Originally from North Carolina, he and his wife, Yvette make their home in St. Petersburg, FL.
Sales Director – Strategic Accounts
Cory leads the company's activities in managing national accounts related to corporate dental groups (DSOs) and other similar organizations. Cory has a proven track record as a successful account manager. Over the last four years, he played a key role in developing a new division and territory as an Account Manager at Insight Global, and developed a new market in Orlando during his two years at Jasper Construction. He started his sales career at Hertz where he quickly rose from a Sales Trainee to the position of Location Sales Manager, in New Orleans, LA.
Cory, originally from Panama City, FL, attended Florida State University where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the FSU Football team, where he won an ACC Championship and Orange Bowl among others and earned All-Academic honors.
International Sales Director
Carlos leads the company's international sales activities. In his role, Carlos serves as a liaison with our network of international dealers to promote Boyd products and services around the world. He is instrumental in identifying new market opportunities while working with our new and existing distributors in Europe, Middle East, Mexico, Latin America and Asia.
Carlos is distinguished by his passion for business, his focus on collaborative team-building, and his commitment to meeting customer and market demands. His contagious enthusiasm allows him to maintain close relationships with his clients and provide industry-leading customer service. As a degreed dentist, is an accomplished domestic and international dental products sales professional. He started his dental sales career in 2011 when he moved to San Diego, California to work for a Dental. There he learned different Computerized Dentistry Programs and the latest scientific knowledge in the field of digital and CAD/CAM technology. Prior to joining Boyd, Carlos worked for two major dental labs in Florida and Kentucky as Regional Sales Manager supporting DSO customers.
Carlos, originally from Mexico, obtained his dental degree from the Metropolitan Autonomous University and completed his General Practice Residency at the General Hospital in Mexico City. After completing his residency, he practiced general dentistry in Baja, California for more than 10 years. Carlos is a world traveler (over 20 countries) and life adventurer. In his free time, he loves to hike, be outdoors and play competitive soccer.
Supply Chain Manager
Hook is responsible for all of the company's material purchasing, receiving and control, inventory management, production planning and scheduling, logistics and Dynamics GP manufacturing systems. As a key member of our leadership team, he leads the identification of innovative new approaches to reduce our product costs, right-size inventory, improve supplier performance, develop streamlined Dynamics GP business processes and prepare our complex supply chain for higher levels of performance.
Since joining Boyd in 2013 as Product Manager, Hook has demonstrated his ability as a versatile member of Boyd's leadership team. His dedication to supporting our sales organization has led to improvements in the CRM use, training and deployment. In addition, he has been a tremendous resource on matters ranging from product pricing, new product introductions, key vendor relations to understanding our product costs. He has shown his ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Prior to joining Boyd, Hook spent 6 years with Tier I automotive parts manufacturer, Pyongsan America Inc. in positions of increasing responsibility in the Supply Chain organization. At Pyongsan, he had multi-plant responsibility managing inventory, purchasing and logistics.
Hook attended Auburn University and makes his home in Safety Harbor, FL.
Sr Manager of Design and Development
Christina joined Boyd in 2014 to collaborate with the functional leadership to assure Boyd's cabinetry products meet quality, financial, delivery and product line growth objectives. As a key member of the Boyd team, she will be responsible for the overall go-to-market strategy, design development, competitive analysis and manufacturing coordination for existing, new and emerging products.
Christina is an accomplished sales professional having over 10 years' experience in the field. Most recently, she was a successful Account Executive for an Independent Medical Sales company, Beveridge Medical Associates, where she was responsible for managing the complete life cycle of highly complex storage projects including approval, planning, execution and closeout to ensure planned results were achieved. She is an expert in Solutions Selling methods whereby she assesses the needs of the customer and proposes effective product solutions. She started her storage products career as the Director of Domestic and International Sales for Waterloo Healthcare. She represented multiple product lines for the highest quality medical device and capital equipment manufacturers continually striving to improve outcomes and patient care.
Christina received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management. When not thinking about cabinetry, she enjoys time with her new son, Will and supporting cancer research causes.
